Melbourne Star Wheel Joins Peter Rowland Venues Porfolio

Peter Rowland Catering has unveiled a major Melbourne tourism attraction in its portfolio of venues, bringing to life another key business and special events venue for the city.

The Melbourne Star Observation Wheel – the city’s newest attraction and Southern Hemisphere’s only giant observation wheel – is now available for meetings for 8 to open air events for 1500+ guests via its dedicated function spaces and cabins.

Event guests and delegates will be able to incorporate a flight on the Melbourne Star to add imaginative and inspiring impact to planning meetings, product launches or business lunches. Events for up to14 can take place inside the Star Cabins with bespoke catering from Peter Rowland combining with an exciting new perspective of the city from the 120- metre high giant observation wheel.

Back on the ground, there are dedicated function spaces within the recently opened Melbourne Star. Peter Rowland Catering will bring their flair for hospitality to large and small gatherings, from boardroom meetings for up to 20, theatre style presentations for 300 and conferences for 150, cocktails for 400 guests to a sit-down business breakfast, lunch or dinner for up to 250 people. The Star Piazza, at the base of the Star, has the capacity to host a cocktail reception for 1500+ people, making it one of Melbourne’s largest open-air event venues.

Melbourne Star joins other iconic Melbourne attractions in Peter Rowland Catering’s portfolio of premium venues – including National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne Museum, Australian Centre of Moving Image (ACMI) and Flemington The Events Centre along with the state’s major events such as Melbourne Cup Carnival, Australian Grand Prix and Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, cementing Peter Rowland as the country’s leading hospitality management business.
