‘This Is Alice’: Meet Sydney’s Exclusive New Cocktail Bar

Introducing Alice, Sydney’s newest and most exclusive cocktail bar, located at basement level at the heritage-listed building of 16 Argyle Street, Sydney. It is the latest addition to Hunter St. Hospitality’s portfolio of premium restaurants and bars that includes Rockpool Bar & Grill, Spice Temple and Saké Restaurant & Bar.

Hidden towards the rear of Sydney’s most clandestine cocktail bar is a semi-private space that can be dramatically curtained off for group dining intimacy. Every descent to this cocktail underworld is a true adventure: equal parts glitz, glamour, great drinks and fine food. A single walnut oak, glass-topped dining table with plush upholstered chairs and cushioned banquette accommodates 12 guests.

A low ceiling, heritage listed beams and trio of striking glass chandeliers add to the intimate feel, while spectacularly lit glass wine shelves add to the feeling of exclusivity and decadence. This is a seductive space for excessive dining pleasure, which an exclusive group sharing menu provides. The cocktail list showcases clever twists on classics, signature drops and show-stopping innovators. The bar menu comprises Sydney’s finest snacks.
